Lois and Edd were pretty relaxed about the whole thing, and that made for a good day. Church ceremony in the morning, tipi party in the sunshine after. I missed the turning into the venue on the way there, would have driven straight past it if a couple of guests hadn’t been walking in and waved me down. Not my finest navigational moment, but it worked out.
There’s always a bit of quiet before a church ceremony starts. Guests trickling in, the groom doing his best to look composed, bridesmaids sorting the last few things. Moulton Parish Church gave all of that plenty of room.

The bride walking down the street before she comes in is one of those moments that doesn’t last long. I try not to miss it. The ceremony itself followed, the two of them at the altar, the front rows full.

We got out into the open for portraits while the light was still good. Late afternoon, open fields, it’s a straightforward setup and it works. Lois and Edd were easy to work with, which helps more than anything else.

Tipis aren’t rare at weddings, but the Elms Meadow setup is worth mentioning, the glamping tents alongside it give the whole venue a different feel. Guests were spread out, mingling, no one rushing anywhere. The dog made an appearance here too, brought over by the dog minder for a few photos. That was a good call.

By the time the light dropped and the venue lights came on, the atmosphere had been good for hours. The gazebo with the lights strung up made for a decent end to the night.

Lois and Edd were kind people to spend a day with. The dog didn’t seem to mind the camera either, which is always a bonus.
